NACHTMAHR (myspace.com/nachtmahrprojekt)

„I only have one interest: i don’t care if you live or die: I just wanna see you dance !“

This is the motto that made Thomas Rainer create his new musical project NACHTMAHR in 2007. After the Austrian artist has achieved worldwide chart breaking success with his other projects L’AME IMMORTELLE and SIECHTUM in the past 11 years, he returns to his roots: the boiling dancefloors of industrial and goth clubs alike

Inspired by numerous years of Djing NACHTMAHR> is the missing link between merciless and provocative Industrial and the hammering power of Techno. The first release “Kunst ist Krieg (=art is war)” and it’s club hit “BoomBoomBoom” instantly conquer the dancefloors and earn the band a slot on the soundtrack of the American block-buster movie SAW 4

The first tour supporting SAMSAS TRAUM shows the potential of NACHTMAHR as a live act. This is also proven by the band’s highly acclaimed show at Wave Gotik Treffen 2008 injecting the audience of more than 3.000 people with harsh beats straight from hell.

NACHTMAHR is much more than aggressive music for outcasts. It’s militant image and in-your-face lyrics might seem provocative in the first place, but as you dive deeper into the dark and sinister world of the Austrian project you discover the approaches towards modern society and it’s sicknesses. Even on the dancefloor there is room to think about all our daily nightmares.

With the release of the full-length album “Feuer frei!” the success of the EP was exceeded by far: Germany’s biggest and most influential dark music magazine ORKUS quoted: “This is the new standard for the electro industrial genre” and the club single “Katharsis” dominated the clubs for months which helped the album to stay in the top 10 of the German alternative charts for more than 6 weeks.

A lot more is planned, as for NACHTMAHR there is only one way: “world domination or demise!”

ALTER DER RUINE (www.myspace.com/alterderruine)

Alter Der Ruine was brainspawned in 2005 as a device to get soft shoes to tap to a heavy beat. To compound this simple plan an intricate execution was employed. Long story short 2 Mikes and 1 Jacob got together and made a racket that took the scenic route to its destination.

Pooling enough influence to inspire even the laziest artist, ADR set its sights to constantly evolve and explore areas unfamiliar to them. The end result rests in a sound strikingly familiar that lounges in its own swanky world. A swanky world where sleaze and serious had an ugly, humor filled love child that craved synthesizers and something to snap its fingers to. Luckily, Alter Der Ruine exists for them.

Do they exist for you...?

XUBERX (www.myspace.com/xuberxnoise)

Founded in early 2007, XUBERX consists of Cheetahdave, Liebchen, and Zomboy. XUBERX has a sound not easily compared to other industrial bands.

Both in its recordings and live, XUBERX combines contrasting vocal styles and harsh guitar sounds with its electronic core to create the noise that will destroy the world, two ears at a time. XUBERX has played with a number of major regional, national, and international acts.

The first XUBERX CD, an 8 track EP called Rogue State, was completed in the summer of 2007 and released in August of that year by Radio-Active-Music. Featuring remixes of the title track by Galvanax and Dharmata 101, and the production and mastering skills of Jsun Bruner of the latter band, the EP captures the range and potential of the band.

XUBERX's first full length CD, "Intelligent Demise," was released in September, 2008. Produced by Dan Clark of Stromkern, this CD features a reworking of Rogue State and the band's first breakout song, "The World Ends Today."

In February, 2009, XUBERX released "Intelligence, Revised," a remix CD of 2008's full length. This CD is remarkable both in terms of the artists who remixed XUBERX, but also in the range of results.

XUBERX finds influences in a broad spectrum of music and bands, but a consensus seems to be that Stromkern and Angelspit have been among the strongest musical influences.

To describe XUBERX’s sound, however, is more difficult. The broad genre of “industrial” music fits well, but no one subgenre truly encapsulates the band. In performances, the band complements its use of synthesizers with live guitar. XUBERX's members have a solid background in the Baltimore/Washington goth/industrial music scene. Two XUBERX members are well known DJs.

XUBERX has played with international, national, and regional acts, such as Ego Likeness, Hanzel und Gretyl, Accessory, Bella Morte, the Dark Clan, I:Scintilla, Ayria, and The Cruxshadows.
