To Celebrate the Holiday Season with Friends and Good Cheer, We’re
Planning a Holiday Party to End the Year! Here is an opportunity to
wear that special dress or suit. Come dressed to impress in something
festive for the last Dunkelheit event of the year. Rumor is this might
be the last Dunkelheit at Asefu. The truth is Dunkelheit will be taking
a break in January but stay tuned to hear the location for February. As
always, there is no dress code at Dunkelheit, so semi-formal attire is
encouraged but not required.

The Guest DJ is Miko LeStrange. Originally known as DJ Meek, he
started DJing back in 2000 and helped start Midian, Radiation and a
couple of other smaller goth clubs/events. Miko ran a few concert
events in Richmond: The Goth Club, Fetische and The Festival of the
Strange, booking popular national acts. In 2003, Miko was deployed to
Iraq as an army Psychological Operations Specialist. He broadcasted
club music via the speaker mounted humvee, becoming the first goth DJ
in Iraq! Currently Miko helps run DoomGloom in VA Beach and Tronik in
DC, while still doing guest spots at other clubs like Dracula's Ball in
Philadelphia and Anime Convention Raves like AUSA and Katsucon. His
style is self described as "Playing to the crowd, mixing in something
for everyone and doing his best to make sure everyone has a good time."
Expect to hear diverse crowd-pleasing sets!

Dunkelheit has residents DJ Panic and Hardware, special guest DJ
downstairs (TBA), two bars, large dance floor, private smoking deck,
and a kitchen serving up delicious Ethiopian and American food. Don’t
forget to bring cash for the upstairs bar since credit cards are only
accepted downstairs.

Dunkelheit is located at Asefu, 1920 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20009 (Between T and U Streets).
The club is Metro accessible from the yellow/green lines at U Street
Station. Take the Vermont Avenue exit, walk one block on U Street and
make a right onto 9th Street. There are also two small pay parking lots
on the same block as Asefu as well as street parking.

Dunkelheit is open from 9pm to 3am. 18+ with valid ID. Cover is $5.

Don’t forget Free Birthdays at Dunkelheit! This month, anyone
born on December 4th, 5th, and 6th are our special December birthday
guests. Please come out and celebrate for free!

Next Dunkelheit = February 5th. Stay tuned for location!
