Shannon began DJing in 2003 in the gothic/industrial scene. Tired of
the music she was hearing, she decided to step behind the decks in
order to spin the guitar driven tunes she enjoyed. She was a finalist
in the first amateur DJ competition held by Alchemy in Washington, DC
and quickly became a regular guest DJ at clubs throughout the area,
spinning a blend of post punk, death rock and industrial. She also
held residencies at Corrosion and Schadenfreude.

In 2005, Shannon became more and more interested in the emerging indie
rock and electro scene and turned her musical focus in that direction.
Currently, you can find Shannon both DJing and promoting for
Liberation Dance Party at DC9. Heralded as the best dance night in the
DC area by Washingtonian Magazine (December 2005), Liberation Dance
Party plays an eccentric mix of new rock, electro and hip hop music
and videos.
